Our Campus and Facilities
Sekolah Mutiara Nusantara is conveniently located just 20 minutes north of the city center of Bandung. Our six-hectare campus comprises three-story, main school building, designed by Aboday Architectural Firm with a modernist, geometrical twist. The building offers several open, communal spaces for learning besides our classrooms. The fresh, cool breezes blow through our windows each day and small river runs by the property. Our facilities and learning resources are well preserved and continuously being improved.
Faculty members enjoy a social area and workspace known as the faculty lounge, where they may collaborate on projects and plan lessons over coffee or a cuppa.
The school canteen offers catering services by three vendors each serving a wide range of food choices for teachers and students alike. The younger children enjoy a spacious playground, grassy areas to play mini soccer, an indoor basketball court and a mini garden. Our cozy and beautiful library features hundreds of works of fiction and nonfiction, newspaper, encyclopaedias, dictionaries. All students have a digital access to the national public library and other online database to facilitate research.
The Early childhood department occupies the ground floor, a private area with limited access to classrooms. Early years classroom has a wide range of toys, games, and resources to encourage hands-on learning and creativity. Besides the Early year’s classrooms, the ground floor has a private multipurpose hall for social activities, and a meeting area for parents as well as the school canteen. Handwashing and restrooms are available near classrooms and separated for children and adults. A ’Jump and Gym’ indoor playground allows for early years students to play and practice gross and fine motor skills.
The elementary school comprises 6 classrooms, art room, ICT laboratory, and a music room. All rooms are installed LCD projectors. The elementary ones enjoy an abundance of natural light and a view of the lush, green environs and school mini garden.
The Secondary School occupies the highest floors of the main building, where all classrooms have LCD projectors installed to enable learning with multimedia. The higher floors also feature three science laboratories, an ICT room, Art room, Music room, Student council room, and an Assembly Hall with a stage for weekly chapel gatherings, and school events and performances.
