School Science Lab Assistant
- Ensure the science laboratory is clean, safe, and organized.
- Regularly inspect and maintain lab equipment, such as microscopes, Bunsen burners, glassware, and chemicals.
- Arrange lab benches, tables, and equipment for experiments and demonstrations.
- Restock and order supplies as needed.
- Enforce safety guidelines and protocols within the lab.
- Train students on proper lab safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
- Assist science teachers in setting up experiments and demonstrations.
- Maintain an inventory of chemicals, reagents, and lab supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies in a timely manner.
- Keep records of all equipment and materials in the laboratory.
- Bachelors degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. (A degree in a related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in a school or laboratory setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with basic scientific equipment and materials.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
