Museum Bank Mandiri
The Museum Bank Mandiri is located in Jln. Lapangan Stasiun No.1 in Old Town Jakarta. This building was built in 2004. It was originally the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (NHM) building or the Factorij office in Batavia which was a trading company owned by the Dutch king, Willem I, which later developed into companies in the banking sector. The museum has various collections inside it starting from “tempo doeloe” banking activities and developments, the collections owned ranging from bank operational equipment, securities, ancient currency (numismatic), brandkast, and others.
Museum Wayang
Museum Wayang is a museum located in Kota Tua Jakarta that is dedicated to preserving the history of puppets in Java. It was formally opened on August 13, 1975, by Ali Sadikin, the governer of Jakarta at the time. The place where the museum is located was originally the location of an old Dutch church named Eks de Oude Hollandsche Kerk, which was repurposed multiple times before becoming Museum Wayang Jakarta. Museum Wayang houses many exhibits related to puppets, such as wayang kulit, the puppets used for the story of Ramayana, masks used for performances in Bali, ondel-ondel, and many other collections.
Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik
Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik’s location is in the east side of Fatahillah Square, in Kota Tua Jakarta. Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik is dedicated to preserving collections of Indonesian fine art and pottery, as shown by its collection of ceramics from shipwreck and traditional paintings. Other than its displays, Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik also provides a pottery course that’s available for both students and the general public.
